Springsuit Overview

The TRUDIVE Super Elastic Zipper spring wetsuit Cut Bikini is a 2 mm springsuit cut like a bikini: long sleeves and a covered core for sun and scrape protection, high-cut legs, and a light feel through the hips that keeps you moving freely in warm water. It is made for the water most people actually swim in — tropical reefs, summer coastlines, heated pools and mild autumn days — where a 3 mm suit is more insulation than the session needs. The suit stays light when wet, which you notice most on the climb back into the boat.

Packing is part of the design. It folds into a day bag and rinses clean in a sink, so it earns its place in hand luggage on any warm-water trip; it is also the piece people reach for first in our springsuit online store when the calendar says diving and the bag is small.

Product Advantages

  • Milk-silk softness against the skin. The lining is finished to feel smooth rather than rubbery, so the suit slides on without powder or plastic bags and stays comfortable through a long surface interval.
  • Panel-fit construction. Shaped panels follow the waist and bust instead of pulling flat across them — the difference you notice when you twist to check your buddy or reach for a camera.
  • 360° stretch lining. It gives in every direction, not only across the body, so a full arm stroke moves the sleeve with you rather than dragging at the shoulder.
  • A 2mm women wetsuit, proportioned for a female frame. Bust, waist and hip shaping means the size that matches your measurements sits where it should, without slack at the waist or spare length in the arm.
  • Water-repellent, fast-drying outer. Water runs off the surface rather than soaking in, so the suit is lighter on the boat and dry again by the afternoon.
  • A front zip you can work one-handed. Close it before you step off the platform, part it on the surface interval to let heat out — no reaching over your shoulder for a leash.
  • Super-elastic neoprene that recovers. Limestone neoprene and a stretch lining mean the zipper spring wetsuit springs back after a week folded in a suitcase instead of holding creases across the hips.

Use Scenarios

  • Reef diving from a day boat. Two tanks in the morning, lunch in the sun, one more dive after — the suit goes back on without a fight and never sits heavy and wet between entries.
  • Snorkelling and shallow reef swims. If you spend more time near the surface than on a line, this bikini cut springsuit gives you sun cover across the back, shoulders and arms without the drag of a full suit.
  • Pool training and laps. For stroke work and long sets, the sleeves keep the chill off your arms while the cut leaves your legs completely free.
  • Light surf and bodyboarding on mild days. The close fit keeps the suit from ballooning on a wipeout, and it comes off in the car park in seconds.
  • Freediving and spearfishing in warm water. Thinner neoprene means less buoyancy at depth, so most divers carry less weight than they would in a 5 mm suit — worth re-checking your ballast on the first dive.
  • Travel and liveaboards. It rolls up smaller than a full suit and takes up almost no space in a carry-on, which is why it is often the second or third piece people buy from our springsuit online store.
  • A first suit for warm water. If you are about to buy diving swimsuit and are not sure where to start, 2 mm is the most forgiving thickness: it covers diving, snorkelling and swimming without committing you to a cold-water suit.

Care & Maintenance

  1. Rinse the suit in fresh water after every session, inside and out, with the zip open so the teeth and the fabric behind them get cleaned too.
  2. Wash it now and then with wetsuit shampoo or a few drops of mild soap; household detergent, fabric softener and bleach all break the lining down.
  3. Dry it in the shade, inside out, on a wide plastic hanger or laid flat — direct sun and radiators stiffen neoprene and take the softness out of the finish.
  4. Store it flat or on a wide hanger in a cool cupboard; avoid tight long-term folds, and never leave it bundled damp in a bag or a hot car.
  5. Keep sunscreen, tanning oil and self-tanner off the panels where you can, and rinse sooner on the days you use them — they yellow white neoprene and dull the surface.
  6. Clear sand out of the zip after beach sessions; a single grain working into the teeth is the usual start of a zip problem.

Ordering & Delivery

Choosing from our springsuit online store is straightforward, but a few things are worth checking first. Sizing matters most: if your measurements fall between two sizes, send us your height, weight and the size you normally wear in a swimsuit and we will tell you which way to go. Colour is the other one — white and Tiffany Blue read differently in daylight than on a screen, and we are happy to send extra photos of the colourway you are considering.

People usually buy diving swimsuit ahead of a trip rather than for everyday swimming, so if you have dates to hit, tell us when you order and we will be straight with you about timing. Delivery times, shipping options for your country, duties and taxes, and the terms that apply to your order all depend on where you are, so confirm them with us before you check out rather than after.

About Our Company

TRUDIVE is an independent water-sports brand built around a simple idea: warm-water divewear that feels like you rather than equipment. Our online store opened in 2021, and we have been designing and refining our own wetsuit collections ever since, guided by fit feedback from divers, snorkelers and swimmers. You will also find us on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Xiaohongshu and Bilibili, where we share real sessions, styling and sizing tips. Questions about fit, care or an order reach our own team directly, before and after you buy.

FAQ

Q1. What is this zipper spring wetsuit made from, and what does that mean in the water?

It is built on 2 mm limestone neoprene with a 360° stretch lining and a water-repellent outer that dries quickly. Limestone neoprene is chosen for its low weight and consistent stretch, so the suit holds its shape without feeling dense. The lining is what you feel against the skin: it gives in every direction, which keeps the sleeves and body moving with you instead of resisting. The fast-drying outer is why the suit is not heavy and cold on the ride home.

Q2. Can I wear it for anything other than diving?

Yes — diving is only the most obvious use. It works for snorkelling, pool laps, light surf, paddleboarding and warm-water freediving, and plenty of people wear it for beach days and time on the boat, because a bikini cut is comfortable to walk around in between sessions. If you are about to buy diving swimsuit for a week that mixes swimming, snorkelling and a few dives, this covers more of it than a single-activity suit would.

Q3. What sizes are available, and how do I choose one?

Sizes run from XS to 3XL, with additional length variations offered alongside the standard sizes. Measure your bust, waist and hip with a soft tape against bare skin, keeping the tape level and snug rather than tight, then match those numbers to the size list. This bikini cut springsuit is cut close to the body, so measurements matter more than the label on your usual clothing. If you land between two sizes, or the length you need is not offered for your size, ask us before ordering and we will point you to the right one.

Q4. How do I care for it so it keeps its performance?

Never machine wash or tumble dry it — a drum pulls the lining out of shape and a dryer bakes the neoprene. Give it a proper wash with wetsuit shampoo every few weeks, or at the end of a trip; if the lining feels tacky or smells of the sea, that is the suit telling you it needs one, and a five-minute wash brings the softness back. Store it fully dry, and check the seams and the zip while it is hanging.

Q5. Is 2 mm warm enough for the diving I do?

For warm and temperate water and active diving, yes — 2 mm is the thickness most people choose when a 3 mm or 5 mm suit would be too much. Warmth is personal, though: if you feel the cold, dive several times a day, or sit still on long safety stops, a thicker suit will keep you comfortable for longer. Treat a 2 mm women wetsuit as a layer for movement and warm water rather than a cold-water suit, and if you are unsure about your conditions, tell us where and when you dive and we will say honestly whether it fits.

Q6. Does the front zip let water in?

A springsuit is not a drysuit and is not meant to be sealed — water enters at the neck, sleeves and zip, your body warms that thin layer, and that is what keeps you warm. The zip closes against the suit's own fabric and stays closed while you swim. What it gives you is an easy entry and exit, plus the option to open it at the surface when you are overheating between dives.

Q7. Will it stay in place while I swim and duck-dive?

It should, provided the fit is right. The suit closes snugly through the bust, waist and hip, and the high-cut leg sits on the hip bone rather than riding up. If it shifts on a duck-dive or gapes at the shoulder, that usually means the size is too big rather than the cut being wrong — send us your measurements and we will check. A suit that feels firm when dry and comfortable in the water is the normal starting point.
